I shot this at sunset Saturday Feb. 6 -- I think we got about 30 inches total, give or take a few inches. (I had to get up on a ladder and use a rake to get under some of the snow piled up on our carport roof and pull it off the sides of the roof. Lotsa fun with snow continuing to fall and getting in my face while I stood on an icy ladder). The carport has such a flat pitch I was freaking out about whether it could handle the snow load.
This bird house's roof can definitely handle a load of snow. It kinda looks like a long nose on the tulip poplar stump. The stump will be a tiki or easter island carving if I ever get around to it.
Burrr...
