Another Estate Sale Find - Bertoia-style Homecrest Outdoor Chairs

I had Friday off with plans to drive up to Pennsylvania for the weekend and visit with some college buddies, but before I left home I had a little time and visited a local estate sale.  I picked up a couple of things, including these great chairs and table for a great price!

I'm no expert on designers - do any of you have a guess at who made these?  The yellow covers on the two chairs are like new.

I'm hoping the green covers will clean up better, but they are faded.  It would be great to know if you can still buy this kind of outdoor cover.

The chairs with the green covers are different from each other and different from the chairs with the yellow covers, but all four are in nice shape.  These will be perfect for our courtyard when I get that built.

  1. There were about a dozen people at the sale ahead of me and when I saw these on the back patio unpriced I asked what they wanted for the set and if they had been sold. It took a minute for the answer and I grabbed them!

    1. Thanks Dana - do you think the table is from the same maker?

    2. Yes, I think so. That base is consistent with others I've seen from that maker.

  3. Hi Uncle Atom. Those are all Homecrest pieces. Homecrest still sells pads for some of it's vintage designs AND will gladly buy the chairs back for exactly what they cost new! (Sadly, about $25 each) Google the Homecrest website for more info. No big name designer involved as far as I know. I got lots of this stuff too. Love as much as my Bertoia and Salterini stuff. Watch a couple of episodes of That '70s Show and you'll see some of these pieces on their patio...along with a much coveted "Bal-B-Que". I want a Bal-B-Que so bad I can taste it...and it tastes like charred meat! Nice snatch!
