A Happy Camper

With Spring in the air, I decided to take the tarp off the Shasta, and that gave me better lighting to get a shot of the finished dinette seats and curtains.  I had the upholsterer put a chevron design in the seat backs, and I'm very happy with how they turned out.  Not original, but I think the vinyl will hold up better than the original half vinyl, half fabric seats I've seen.  The vintage AM table radio is another purchase from the Arlington Civitan flea market.  Once the tubes warm up, the radio works great, and the colors of the radio look good in the camper.

And here's the table set with vintage Boonton dishware and spun aluminum salt/pepper shakers and cups/pitcher.

  1. I love the design on the seats. Everything looks great. You are shaming me into working on our Aloha. As soon as the weather clears a little.

  2. It's looking really good! The seats turned out great. Love the radio - I have the same Zenith only in a dark red/brown case.

  4. Glad you all approve of the seats. I need to get back to work on this camper too. Been a looooong project but I can see a finishing point soon. Good luck with those camper projects - I'd love to see pictures of yours too!
